Cotton Candy Meadows
Original Art. Watercolor and ink on cotton paper. 8in x 3 7/8in.
Like something out of a beetles song, or a Willy Wonka movie. A fluffy cottony pink field, so soft, so saccharine. It is made for frolicking, for rolling around, for squealing in delight. You can pull puffs apart and make mustaches, necklaces or sticky sweet dresses. Too bad the real world isn't made of candy.
But it's abstract. The meaning is not in what I see. It's about what you think, or rather how we think about it differently. Colors, shapes, tones and lines effect us individually. Abstraction is a solitary experience, not a collective one.
