Obsidian Pendant Earring

Wait, is this a mid-century modern style earring?  I think so, at least that is what it is inspired by.  What do you think?  Did I pull it off?  Pairs well with boldly colored pea coats, plush couches with accent pillows and retro wall paper.
 
Obsidian and Bayong wood on  surgical steel ear wire.  Lightweight.
