Springtime on the Lake
Original Art. Watercolor and ink on cotton paper. 8in x 3 7/8in.
Fresh green sprouts emerging from the ground, the early flowers that elevate the mood and sweeten the air. The awakenings of life after a hard winter. It is a great time to be at the lake, watching the ducks nest and soon float around with little ducklings. Frogs peeping in the evening. Everybody is waking up, suddenly filled with life.
But it's abstract. The meaning is not in what I see. It's about what you think, or rather how we think about it differently. Colors, shapes, tones and lines effect us individually. Abstraction is a solitary experience, not a collective one.
