Tropical Hydra Dip
Original Art. Watercolor and ink on paper. 7" x 10"
Have you ever seen phosphorescent water? Bioluminescent organisms in the water can light up the water at night, making it glow. It's pretty amazing. I saw this marvel once, in the Chesapeake Bay. It wasn't a thick concentration of the bioluminescent creatures, but it was still amazing.
But it's abstract. The meaning is not in what I see. It's about what you think, or rather how we think about it differently. Colors, shapes, tones and lines effect us individually. Abstraction is a solitary experience, not a collective one.
